About

No fixed tasting, no over-explaining, just a handful of bottles we’re into right now. a few simple plates and space to try things at your own pace. Start with your first glass and take it from there. If you like something, stay on it. If you don’t, move on. Staff will point you in the right direction but nothing’s over-explained. Each week runs as a new selection of loose bottles, styles and moods. Some easy, some a bit left-field. Come early, or don’t. It loosens up as the night goes on.

Blan d’Anzera

Celler Jordi Llorens / 2023

Macabeu | Moscatel

Macabeu with 10% Moscatel that begins fermenting on the skins for a week, before gentle pressing into buried amphora. Here we find the hallmark of Jordi’s work - a ripe fruit profile, with relatiely low alcohol(in this case 10.5%), and a breezy poise that speaks to his family’s centuries long stewardship off this old vineyard sites around the moutnains of Blancafort. A calcareous minerality is the edifice here, from which heady notes of fruits, herbs and spices shine.

Macabeu | parellada

Macabeu and parellada from 80 year old vines growing at approx 600masl, from a particularly hot and arid vintage. Semi carbonic maceration for 2 weeks, before pressing off into amphora for 6 months. An undeniably solar wine, with the boldness of macabeu softened by the mineral freshness of parellada. With notes of lavendar, black tea, angelica root, and nutmeg, and the fibrous tension of amphora aged wines, this is reminiscent of the famous amber wines of northern Italy and Georgia.

Samodia / Valsamoggia, Emilia-Romagna, Italy / 2024

Barbera, Sangiovese, Ancellotta, Merlot, Lambrusco Grasparossa

All the rustic charm of Emilia-Romagna reds, but with a light, nimble touch. Cherry stone and fresh strawberry from the Ancellotta, lifted by bright acidity and easy drinkability. A true vino da tavola.

Pedecastello Rosato Frizzante

BellunO / Pinot Nero / 2022

Pinot Noir

Pinot Nero from young vines planted 600 metres above sea level at the foot of the Dolomites. Twelve hours on skins before resting in tank, then bottled with passito must for a second fermentation. Hazy pink, dry and delicate, with alpine strawberry, herbs and mineral notes. Pure aperitivo energy.
