How we handle data, the cookies and analytics we use, and how you can change your mind at any time.

Who we are

Brew+Ferment operates this website and is the data controller for any personal data collected here. We are based at 20 Bradbury Place, Belfast, BT7 1RS. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at info@brewferment.com.

Analytics & what we collect

With your consent, we use PostHog to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. PostHog may collect:

  • — Pages you view and links/buttons you interact with.
  • — Device, browser, operating system, and screen size.
  • — Approximate location (country/city), derived from your IP address. Your full IP address is anonymised and not stored.
  • — Anonymised session recordings — a reconstruction of on-page activity (clicks, scrolling, navigation). Text inputs are masked by default.

We do not use advertising networks or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not sell your data.

Cookies & storage

We only store a small record of your cookie choice until you make a decision. Nothing else is set unless you accept.

  • Consent preference — remembers whether you accepted or rejected. This is strictly necessary and always stored.
  • PostHog analytics — a first-party cookie and local storage, set only after you accept. Served through our own domain, so no third-party cookies are used.

We also use Vercel's privacy-friendly web analytics, which is cookieless and does not collect personal data.

Legal basis & your choice

We rely on your consent for analytics and session recording. Until you accept, none of it runs. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time — it takes effect immediately.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted processors to run the site and our services:

  • — PostHog — product and web analytics (EU-hosted).
  • — Stripe — payment processing for tickets and orders.
  • — Resend — transactional and confirmation emails.
  • — Convex — application data storage.
  • — Vercel — website hosting and cookieless analytics.

Retention & your rights

Session recordings are retained for 30 days. Other analytics data is kept only as long as needed to understand site usage.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to data portability. To make a request, email us at info@brewferment.com. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date.
