Cantina Giardino

About

Cantina Giardino is a natural wine project founded by Antonio and Daniela Di Gruttola in the hills of Irpinia in Campania. The winery works with old vineyards of native southern Italian grape varieties such as Greco, Fiano, Aglianico and Coda di Volpe. Farming is organic and traditional methods are used in the cellar, including spontaneous fermentation, long macerations and minimal intervention. The goal of the project is to preserve historic vineyards and showcase the freshness and acidity that high-altitude Campanian terroirs can produce.

T’ara Rà

From one of Campania’s highest vineyards at 650 metres in Santa Paolina. Four days on skins followed by a year in old chestnut barrels. Complex and savoury, with firm tannins, smoky depth and a long, structured finish. Serious and contemplative.
