La Sorga5
About
La Sorga is the natural wine project of Antony Tortul, founded in 2008 in southern France. Tortul works with fruit from old vineyards across Languedoc and neighbouring regions, focusing on organic and biodynamic farming. The wines are made with spontaneous fermentation, no filtration or fining, and generally no added sulphur. La Sorga has become one of the cult producers of the natural wine movement, known for expressive, energetic wines and distinctive labels.

Montjoie
Herault Valley, France
8 year old bourboulenc from the clay and limestone soils of Adissan in the Herault Valley. Managed to tiny yields of 24hl/ha, the hand harvested fruit was destemmed before 44 days of maceration in clay. After pressing, the wine aged for 9 months in tank. A distinguished nose of preserved lemon, fresh ginger, and propolis. The palate shows big minerality and length, with malleable tannins persisting on the finish. 1800 bottles produced.

Montagnac, Languedoc, France
Pinot Noir from 20-year-old plantings in the poudingues of Castelreng, Haute Vallée de Limoux. 34 days of maceration, then 9 months ageing in clay eggs.
